  1. Open database or PHPMyAdmin then Export the Existing database.
  2. Create ZIP of all the current WP files.
  3. Create a new database from the Database wizard on the new hosting panel.
  4. Import the previous database file to the new DB.
  5. Upload the ZIP file and extract it on the root directory of the new host.
  6. Modify wp-config.php File.

Export the Existing database

If you already have any hosting server where your website is already hosted or you have a website on your local machine then on both condition you have to go for PHPMyAdmin and export the complete database as SQL file.

Take All Existing WP files

To take all files from the webserver or from your local machine you have to create a ZIP of all that files or you can use FileZilla to upload.

If you use the ZIP file method to upload, this takes a small amount of time to upload the complete website.

Create a New DB from the Database Wizard

To migrate the WordPress site to a new host manually, we have to create a new database on the hosting panel where we want to transfer the WordPress site.

First, open the cPanel of the hosting server, now follow the below image visual steps,

After clicking on MySQL Database, you can see like below (The screen may vary according to different web servers).

Here you can create a DB by putting the DB name.

Here you set the permission for the above user, what that user can do on the Database. Simply check on All PRIVILEGES.

Import the Previous Database (SQL) File to The New DB

To import the old database SQL file to the new DB, open PHPMyAdmin of the new host and click on the import tab and browse the SQL file click GO to upload.

  • Open database and open wp-options table.
  • search for both siteurl and home one by one.
